SAMU Bases

Founded in 2002, MBH SAMU is a subsidiary of Mont Blanc Hélicoptères – HBG France.

All our bases are open 365 days a year and 60% of them are operating 24 hours a day, which means that we are on site to respond to the requests made via the emergency number 15.

MBH SAMU flies more than 4 000 hours per year in emergency situations.

BASES MBH SAMU

The importance of our interventions cannot be underestimated. In many cases, quick intervention makes the difference and can save lives. We are fully committed to provide quality services to the hospitals we work for.

Helicopter medical transfer operations, also known as hélismur, are emergency medical operations that require the use of an helicopter to transport patients in critical conditions to specialized medical centers. These operations are often necessary in situations where ground transportation is not possible or would take too long, such as in mountainous areas, remote rural areas or crowded urban centers.

When an emergency call is received, the Helismur team is alerted and immediately prepares to respond. The helicopter rescue team will include an experienced helicopter pilot, a flight assistant, a physician and a critical care nurse. The team is trained to work together in emergency situations and is ready to respond at any time.

Once the team is ready, the helicopter takes off and heads on site. During the flight, the doctor and nurse attend to the patient and provide emergency medical care to stabilize the patient’s condition.

OUR SPECIALTIES

HELISMUR

All our helicopters are dedicated to emergency services, they are available to transport a medical team as quickly as possible to assist the victims.

We provide 20 HELISMUR helicopters, located all over France.

Our pilots are able to transport medical teams by day and by night.

When an emergency call is made, the Helismur team is alerted and immediately prepares to intervene.

NIGHT FLIGHTS
(With night vision binoculars)

Some of our helicopters and pilots are qualified to operate at night using night vision binoculars.

Thanks to this technical qualification, we can operate day and night.

This advanced equipment allows us to increase the number of missions and the availability of our teams.

MOUNTAIN RESCUE

Since 1990, our team has been able to provide helicopter rescue services on the ski resorts of Portes du Soleil (France and Switzerland) and Grand Massif. We cover more than 25 towns in the Haute Savoie and Switzerland.

The mountains are an incredible playground for winter sports lovers, but it is important to know the dangers and be prepared in case of an emergency.

Our helicopters will allow us to reach restricted acces areas and to intervene quickly to rescue you.

We ensure the care of injured people, as well as their evacuation to the medical center of the resort or to the different hospitals of the region.

THE H145 AN INNOVATIVE MACHINE

MBH SAMU has recently welcomed an H145 D3 helicopter on the Besançon base. The medical teams were impatiently waiting for this new machine, more powerful.

Indeed, the H145 D2 and D3 are equipped with two Arriel 2E engines more powerful, they are also more spacious and better fitted than their predecessors, allowing for improved comfort and better patient care.

It has a larger and more ergonomic interior than previous models, allowing EMS crews to carry more equipment and people. The cabin layout is also more efficient, allowing crew members to work more effectively.

Finally, this machine is equipped with an advanced navigation system that allows pilots to navigate more efficiently and safely.
